Wi-fi regularly dropping out

Our wi-fi connection drops out repeatedly throughout the day. We don’t have any wired connections. We were sent a new router back in June, but it the problem is persisting.  The current router is a Huawei DG8041W-2.T5. The blue LED light stays on when the wi-fi drops out.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I'm really sorry to hear this.


The line tests have not detected any faults and the connection appears to be stable.


Have you tried changing the wireless channel? Change your wireless channel

You may be suffering from Wi-Fi interference (e.g. a neighbour having a router broadcasting on the same, or similar, channel to yours)


You could try changing the channels that your router broadcasts the Wi-Fi signal on, you can use free smartphone Apps like this to see what channels are being used within range of your smartphone, you can then change your router to use channels that are less congested.


The TalkTalk staff on this community will be able to help, they will hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow.
