wifi optimisation

Hi could somebody from Talktalk tech please disable the wifi optimisation on my router, as my firestick does not recognise certain channels and I have to manually reset  to another channel (ie CH 40) in the router settings on the 5ghz band. When i do this, within hours it reverts back to a channel which is not recognised (normally CH52) and i have to go through process again! I do not use 2.4ghz band as most of my devices struggle with it as it gives lower speeds, also the auto option on channel settings is OFF. Tech help on phone said my only option was to use this community (which i think is an awful way to solve this kind of request ) its been going on for months as when ive phoned several times and each time the techhies tried to do it from their end but it has never worked!! HELPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!

The WIFI optimisation has now been switched off.

Hi @Anonymous,

 

As long as you have the Sagemcom Wi-Fi Hub the staff here will be able to disable the Wi-Fi Optimisation for you, they should hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow to help.
