Trying to send me money and asking for debit card details.Claimed to be from a Call Blocker account
I received a landline call from this number about 2pm today 27th February 2020. Earlier today I got an identical call from the same people, using a different number which I have already reported to talktalk using this forum. the earlier number which I sent to you was: 06908791557 The last call I received @2pm was: 01597221476 Each of the calls began by saying - we identified illegal use of your computer and we will close down your internet in 24 hours
Caller informed me my broadband would be disconnected in 24 hours and to stop this from happening I was to press 1 to speak to a technician. Please note my broadband comes as part of my TalkTalk package, but caller didn't claim to be from TalkTalk - didn't specify any company. I suspect this to be a scam call, and the scam would only be revealed when I pressed 1 to speak to a "technician".
the call is automated and tells me that someone is trying to make a transaction on my credit call to an overseas account and asks me to authorise it. I just put the phone down and ignore it. Would you please check the number and block it for me. Thank you
HMRC have issued a warrant for my arrest due to tax evasion, police are on their way, press 1 to speak to the case officer, sounds dodgy to me. Still waiting to be arrested!!!
Called at 1505 on 27/02/2020 Possible Indian centre - noise in background Talk difficult to understand Claimed to be from TalkTalk - allegedly problems with Wifi and router - open to hackers I asked for details to be sent through the post and call was immediately terminated !?
Said "This is your internet provider; we are going to disconnect you due to some irregularity in the next 24 hours". Obviously a scam, so switched off immediately. Tried phoning back, but the number was unrecognised.
