I lost my connect this afternoon. I spent 2hrs as well in March after I got the email making sure my account was associated with my tiscali mail address. I will be contacting talk talk tomorrow.

Hi @IainT1

Could you expand a bit:

  • Are you a TalkTalk Consumer broadband customer?
  • Can you sign in and use TalkTalk Mail (Webmail)
  • What device are you using to collect your emails?
And what email client or email app?
  • In your MyAccount, My Mailboxes
    Is the Tiscali mailbox listed
Is there a yellow panel indicating you don't have a broadband account?

To link this topic to your mailbox please check your Community Profile includes in Personal Information (Click here):

Your name, current landline 'phone and alternate number (mobile recommended). Add full address with postcode (location). Then scroll down to Private notes to add email address(es), notes and references etc and then save changes.

Hi

I can get into the apps talktalk web mail.

I was using Blue mail until it stopped yesterday.

Under My Account my mail box. I see my tiscali email address.

Below is a yellow warning symbol. Saying

You dont have an active Talk Talk broadband account or talk talk mail plus

account.

I spoke to talk talk in march and was told I'm set up now. So they have done nothing

Hi IainT1

I'll add you to the list of customers needing a fix for the error message in your MyAccount, My Mailboxes area.

I think the issue is that the mailbox has been added to your current MyAccount but bringing with it the attributes of being associated with a former MyAccount. So, in my view the mailbox needs to be released from that former MyAccount association to prevent it being restricted to webmail only access.

Whilst I don't discount that the mailbox may have been restricted to webmail access only I was told by TalkTalk only yesterday that restriction would not happen.

Although Bluemail is capable of using secure settings some users may have set up insecure use and that may be an issue.

So, just to troubleshoot would you see if you can add the mailbox as an IMAP account using SSL /TLS to the gMail app.

Hi IainT1

I've escalated to the TalkTalk team. Bit of a wait but you will get a TalkTalk Team member respond in due course.
