Nildram out going e-mail settings for I Pad

I have a Nildram account which works fine on computer and android phone. However, on Apple I-Pad I cannot send e-mails - the error message is  "the sender address "..." was returned by the server". I have tried various settings in the outgoing mail server, but nothing has worked so far. Incoming mail is fine. Any suggestions please?
