I want to send my son a private e mail message that he can open with a password. how do I do that?

Sending an encrypted email so the text is scrambled requires a public key encryption at the sending end and a private key encryption at the receiving end.

 

Here's an example of ways to use Microsoft products to encrypt your mail.

 

Pretty Good Privacy or PGP is an Opensource solution that works with many mail clients using add-ons to encrypt mail. e.g. Thunderbird encryption
