We are unable to send emails from any of our devices?

when we try to send the message appears:

 

cannot send mail

The server rejected one of the recipients addresses?

 

this happens when there is a single address even to a known email contact? Any ideas?

Hi @Caraman2 

 

This is spam protection being triggered because, usually on a group send, one or more mailboxes are inactive or the address is incorrect.

 

Mailboxes do get deleted and people switch to a different mail service provider.  And it's not unknown for addresses to be entered incorrectly.

 

You could check at mailtester.com to see if that indicates a problem.

Thanks - I have just tried to send an email to a single recipient from the webmail and it was also rejected. It came up with a different error but basically said it had rejected . If trying a single contact from the iPad it is still rejected.

What was the different error when sending from webmail? Error codes would be good to home in on the issue.

this email address I know is good.

453 4.1.1 Recipient Invalid (TT503) (in reply to RCPT TO command) Implies the mailbox is temporarily unavailable.

 

What's the email domain of the recipient?

 

The mailbox may be full, server not responding, network issues.

 

Don't change anything just try again later is the usual tactic if everything else is ok.
