Some e-mails not arriving

I don't know if there is any connection here, but what I have been receiving in great quantities over the past couple of weeks are messages from this address - Hot Russian Ladies <vistaprint@tm.vistaprint.co.uk> . Many of them, several times a day.

It's unlikely, but was worth mentioning. You should be able to stop those mails coming in by selecting mark as spam in webmail when you have those mails ticked.

Hi @LindaK 

 

Just popping in to say I've obscured your email address in the hope that the scam and spammer robots that trawl websites to find email addresses didn't get there first.

 

Two interesting things so far:

  1. No return email address
  2. X-Spam rating of 0 - which means not spam

What would be of interest is towards the bottom of the header where it gives the Received: and From: email address - but do omit your own email address in the To: section before posting here.

 

It's probably best if Ady or his colleagues were to Private Message you to ask for the complete unedited header for analysis.

Thanks for that. Those e-mails are still coming in thick and fast, and marking them as spam, as Ady suggested, doesn't seem to have made the slightest bit of difference.

I'll let Ady's colleagues know.

 

Marking as Spam doesn't have an immediate effect. It does notify the Spam Blocking Filters so that they have a fingerprint of what spam looks like. But the scoring of incoming emails as possible spam doesn't appear to be working as well as it should. 

 

Have you got a copy of the second part of that email header? - obscuring your own email address before posting here.

Thanks for the header. Definite spam so it's not right that it also has been scored a 0 for spam.

 

Spammer's sending domain tm.vistaprint.co.uk but using the real vistaprint.co.uk domain as a Reply-To: address and perhaps this is fooling the spam filter.

 

Hopefully, the email admins can use this to assess why the spam filtering isn't blocking this type of spam.

 

I've also asked about progress on why your genuine emails aren't getting through.

Hi Ady, Sorry, I'm being really thick here. Do you mean the messages that are going missing or the spam ones? And how do I send by Personal Message?

 

Some of my e-mails are still going missing - today, for instance, I received a message that referred to another message the sender had sent just minutes beforehand. I got them both in my Outlook account but only the one came through on TalkTalk.

 

Still getting the spam as well.

Hello, I thought the problem of my missing e-mails had been resolved as they appeared to be coming through again, but today I have been made aware of a very important e-mail that was sent to me today, and which I did not receive.
