So I log into Talk talk go to email but then my inbox url is showing as being insecure and can be seen by others what can I do?
Thanks
Hi @Ginxed
Hello and welcome to the TalkTalk Community.
Browsers will flag up when there is insecure content even though the webpage is accessed via a secure https connection.
In the case of TalkTalk Mail the connection is fully secure - you'll see a locked padlock in the browser address bar. When using Chrome click in the address bar to see that it is https and a secure connection.
However, some images used in the advertisements or mail messages are located on http websites so that gets flagged up.
Nothing to worry about as regards TalkTalk Mail or Community. It's as well that you know that the browsers are helping you to identify potentially insecure content.

Hi
That's my point when I am in my inbox the url line says ! not secure /apps.talktalk.co.uk etc
So why do I not see the pad lock there like I do when I sign into talk talk?
Thanks
Hi @Ginxed
You see what you see because you're using the Chrome browser or a browser based on Chrome.
Double click on the address bar and the browser address bar will reveal that you are connected to a secure https site. That should give you confidence that the site is intrinsically secure.
If the 'insecure' images are in an email or in an advertisement then select the Drafts folder so you're looking at the List view but not an actual email and then select the browser refresh icon, the arrow going in a circle next to the address bar.
What do you see now? Black padlock?

Hi
I see yes when I double click it still says ! in secure but I am connected to an https site. So I take it thats ok then.
Thanks for your help.
Hi @Ginxed
Yes, the connection to the site is secure. The browser is just making you aware that there are images linked to from the site that are still on http servers. Those images may be in the displayed advertisements or content in a displayed email.
Good that you're security aware and cautious. TalkTalk Homesafe and TalkTalk Online Defence will protect you from the bad stuff.
Stay safe.
