email problem

I have been unable to send emails for a couple of days. I can receive emails but not send.. Can anyone advise since contact with T/T is not going well.

Hi @chemist 

 

What's the last part of your email address? talktalk.net, lineone.net, tiscali.co.uk or another in the tiscali family?

 

If one of the above, sign in to TalkTalk Mail here and Compose and send the same mailbox address a message so you can check the message sends and appears in the Sent objects folder and also arrives and stays in the Inbox.

 

If you get an error message let us know what that is.

 

How do you normally send emails? Via your computer or phone and do you get any error message that tells you why the send didn't happen?

To those who answered my problem: thanks.

In the end I contacted Microsoft. They fixed it for a while but it is still an intermittent problem. Usually solved by a restart of my desktop.

OK, so we now know you use a Windows desktop. We don't know if you use TalkTalk Mail (webmail) or email software like Windows Mail or Outlook?

 

Perhaps you would let us know and then revisit post 2 in this thread to follow the guidance there and let us know the outcome including the full error messages as and when they occur.

 

If we know a bit more about how you use email and what error messages you see we can work on a fix.
