Can't send email from iPad

Today I discovered that I can't send emails from my ipad, though I have in the past and I've not knowingly changed any settings.

 

I get "cannot veruify server identity, The identity of smtp.tiscali.co.uk cannot be verified by Mail". If I go to Details, I get the settings symbol, followed by "mx.tiscali.co.uk, issued by COMODO RSA, Not Trusted, Expires 16/04/2020". I don't know what all this means.

 

The emails I wanted to send are just loaded up in my outbox.

 

Has something gone wrong with my tiscali account?

A  miracle! All sorted by 6.45pm when a test email to myself was suddenly delivered.

There is a more general issue in connecting to mailboxes from devices like phones / tablets etc.

Nothing you can do at your end to fix, it will have to be addressed by TalkTalk, is a general issue affecting all users
