Cannot log into my account

Hi,

 

I wonder if someone could help me.

 

I've tried several times to log into my talktalk account today. It almost seems to progress through to success, but then suddenly I'm kicked out with the message:

 

"Sorry due to technical issues we can’t log you in right now. Please try again later."

 

I've also receive a message a couple of times regarding using the same device/browser, but unfortunately I haven't recorded this message.

 

Any ideas what might be happening?

Hi Ian, there's an open incident for the error you have. Its not got a scheduled fix date yet. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer.

Please log in to My Account if you need to view or pay your bill, manage boosts and track your usage. From My Account you can also check your connection and test your line for any issues in the Service Centre.

You haven't touched your Community profile. Do you not require TalkTalk Support help?

 

What browser are you using? Is the browser set to block tracking cookies?

Are there any browser extensions such as ad-blockers or tracker blockers?

What Internet Security are you using?

You don't need to retain cookies from a previous session but it is important not to have cookies deleted or tracking blocked within a session. What browser are you using? Is the browser set to block tracking cookies?

After a long dialogue with an on-line agent, I have been informed that there is a general problem with logging into MyAccount, which engineers are now trying to resolve.

 

Is anyone else experiencing problems?

You are correct. It's the MyAccount login that has the problem. 

 

It's been several months since I last logged in, and I might even be using a different browser. My email identity and password are still the same though. It's a bit frustrating if the log in is dependent upon stored cookies though!

You've got this topic labelled talktalk.net and posted in the email forum - but if I'm interpreting correctly, are you asking for help with a customer MyAccount login?

 

Do you have some Internet security software that's deleting cookies?  Retention of cookies is required for successful login authentication.

 

Prepare for TalkTalk Support by updating your Community  MY PROFILE

  • Select your avatar top right, MY SETTINGS, Personal Information, and include:
  • Your name, current TalkTalk home 'phone number (unless taking a full-fibre non voice service). An alternative (mobile preferred) contact number. Full address with postcode (Location)
  • Scroll down to Private notes to add your email address, full-fibre customer account number and notes etc
  • After checking and updating, Save changes

Select here: Update your profile
