No, there's no change and when I delete the notification email of your post, as a test, it goes into the Trash folder.
Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail
Enter your email address and password, select Sign in.
Try again to test.
Or are you using an email client or email app? If the client is not set up as IMAP and fully synchronised to the online mailbox then you may experience a different outcome. Depends where the client is moving deleted mail to and indeed if deleted mail is set to immediately delete.
There is a setting in TalkTalk Mail to immediately remove all deleted mail messages. It's not recommended that you use that feature as you'll not have the standard 30 day timeframe to recover from the Trash folder any inadvertently deleted mail messages.
Check: Main menu > Settings > Mail > Common > Permanently remove deleted email messages
