Email security certificate error on Android

Since the 18th April I have not been able to send or receive emails from my Android phone using Outlook app, which worked ok up until that day.

I have tried various things including uninstalling the app and using other apps (in built app on phone)  However, the apps won't connect complaining about a missing or invalid security certificate

I have a lineone.net email address and I am using the settings below

I use the same settings from Outlook Desktop and have no issues.

When using the built in email app on my phone it complains about the certificate on setting up the incoming IMAP server

My phone is a Huawei P8 Lite, and I'd rather avoid doing a factory reset.

Setting Type IMAP (recommended) POP

Loginusername@lineone.net   username@lineone.net

Outgoing email (SMTP)smtp.tiscali.co.uksmtp.tiscali.co.uk
Outgoing Port587587

Outgoing AuthenticationYes

This thread explains the issue:

a) Microsoft has just run an update to require a minimum security standard; and

b) TalkTalk's email server doesn't support that standard

It could just be that gMail is holding different security thresholds than Outlook

Saw another thread further down the page with people having the same issue, but having followed the link half way down and read pages of stuff on a Microsoft thread, I have tried setting up my email using gMail and it works perfectly.
