My tiscali email password has suddenly stopped working and looking further into it it has also disappeared from the TalkTalk MyAccount section where it was added and used as a default email instead of my homecall one that came with my broadband...talked to live chat yesterday but not solved it, any ideas ?

Hi TonyL76, I can help you get the password reset. I need you to add ALL of the following to the private note section of your community profile:

 

Email address affected.

 

Full Name.

 

Date of Birth.

 

Mobile contact number.

 

Phone number linked to email address

 

Full postal address email is linked to.

 

Once you've added that post back to let me know and I'll raise a fault ticket to get this sorted for you.

My tiscali email which I have used every day for many years suddenly stopped working 2 days ago requesting a password, upon inspection it has also disappeared from MyAccount....is there any way to get this back up and running, its just completely gone

Hi Tony

 

The email system may detect a weak password* or compromised email account and change the password or lock the account for the security of customers.  Maybe the Tiscali email account has been locked as a security measure? 

 

Have you previously set up Password Recovery for the Tiscali email address? You could try the Reset your Password option. I see you've looked in MyAccount > My Services > Webmail - Manage Webmail and the email is not listed there at all.

 

If the password recovery doesn't work and the email isn't associated with your MyAccount then the first step is to verify your ownership and get a new password set and then you can add it back in to your MyAccount. 

 

So, just double check that you've added to your Community Profile, Personal Information (Click here) all of the following in the Private Notes area at the bottom of the page:

 

Email address affected.

Your Full Name.

Date of Birth.

Phone number linked to the Tiscali email address when first registered.

Full postal address linked to the Tiscali email address when first registered.

 

Include your mobile contact number and times to call - daytimes when you'll be there in person to receive the password and speak to the email team (for your security they won't leave a message with the password and there's no number to call them). Don't forget to save changes.

 

The personal information is used to verify the details recorded for the owner of the email address.
