I can receive but not send emails. "Failed to send" message

I can receive e-mails, but all attempts to send emails , instead of "sent" show, "Failed to send". Help! Please. [email address removed]

Are you trying to send through the webmail interface or are you using an email client or mail app?

When did it last work?
