My dad has a lineone email address that needs to be shutdown. After some research it seems that tisquali took over lineone and then talktalk took over tisquali.
How does he go about getting this email address shut down?
He's not with talktalk. He simply has the old email address from being with lineone years ago.

Hi H1cks12, Gondola is right. The best way for your Dad to get the mail deleted is to follow the right to be erased process.

Good decision to seek to delete an unused email address especially if it's at risk of being used to send spam in your dad's name.
The TalkTalk Data Protection Office team will need to verify your dad as the registered user of the email address and will accept his instruction to permanently delete as is his right under the GDPR. Just follow the advice here in the section The Right to Erasure.
