I have had a lineone.net email address for about 20 years but I am not an account holder with TalkTalk. On the 19 March 2018 I was not allowed to access my email address anymore. I reported this on 21 March 2018 and I am still waiting for someone to sort this out. I was on holiday for a few days when someone called on 28 March so wasn't around. Chatted via the website yesterday and talked to someone today. The person who helped me today said that someone called in regard to my ticket number (21 March) today - 6 April. This is rubbish as I work from home and have not been out.
It is now 3 weeks without access to my emails which will be causing a lot of problems etc.
Please, please, please can someone help me.

Hi MarieL, sorry to be a pain, could you add a mobile number to your private notes so that I can get the ticket raised for you.

Whilst waiting for an OCE response here I can advise that the landline number associated with the email address registration is one of the mandatory items for ownership checking.
Is there any way of getting even part of the number? Friends and family who may have written it down? Old bills? etc...
There is a last resort option of escalating to the CEO's office to offer any alternative ownership verification.

First a note about verifying your Community membership:
Moderator Note: To see your post, please verify your Community Membership by clicking on the verification link in the community-notification email. If you've registered with an email address you cannot access then change the Community profile settings email to an alternate and please verify that.
The email system may detect a weak password* or compromised email account and change the password or lock the account for the security of customers.
If not, just double check that you've added to your Community Profile, Personal Information (Click here) all of the following in the Private Notes area at the bottom of the page:
Email address affected.
Your Full Name.
Date of Birth.
Phone number linked to the Lineone email address when first registered.
Full postal address linked to the Lineone email address when first registered.
Include your mobile contact number and times to call - daytimes when you'll be there in person to receive the password and speak to the email team (for your security they won't leave a message with the password and there's no number to call them). Don't forget to save changes.
The personal information is used to verify the details recorded for the owner of the Lineone email address.
This topic has been escalated to the TalkTalk Community support team and the email expert will respond to you right here to help you with account or password recovery.
