Not receiving emails on Android

For the last few days I've not been receiving emails on my Samsung.On my Samsung I'm getting the message in the email app 'To use this account, you need to verify your identity. Tap your account below to sign in'. When I tap and sign in with my email address and password it says 'Sign-in failed'. I know the details are correct because I can sign in to web mail on my laptop. Any suggestions?

Please log in to My Account if you need to view or pay your bill, manage boosts and track your usage. From My Account you can also check your connection and test your line for any issues in the Service Centre.

I've alerted TalkTalk Support because I now believe this requires a TalkTalk fault ticket. You should get a response here next week.

Hi. Yes, I do have an active account and the email address is included in My Mailboxes. I've just changed my password and input in my mobile but still not receiving emails. ☹

Do you have an active customer MyAccount and is the email address listed in My Mailboxes here? Either the password is weak or the email address is restricted to webmail only access because it's not added to an active customer MyAccount.

 

Prepare for TalkTalk Mail Support by including in your Community Profile:

  • Your name, current TalkTalk home 'phone number. An alternative (mobile preferred) contact number. Full address with postcode (Location)
  • Scroll down to Private notes to add your email address, notes and order reference etc
  • After checking and updating, Save changes

Select here: Update your profile

 

Please review your password strength and follow the advice here: Upgrade your legacy mail password to upgrade your email password.

 

You'll need to enter the upgraded password into the mobile email app.
