Hi. I've been with Talktalk for quite a number of years but have never used my email online

I got mixed up and had problems with my password for my account.

I updated it with talktalk, to

"111111", this worked OK

I then had a problem with my password for my email account

I updated it via talktalk, to

"222222", this worked OK

I was told by talktalk that these two passwords were not connected in any way

I tried to log into my account with "111111", didn't work

it was now "222222" (same as my email)

both my account and email account have same password "222222"

it doesn't bother me, except talktalk insist they are not connected in any way

Does anyone know different? or is talktalk wrong and they are the same?

Please log in to My Account if you need to view or pay your bill, manage boosts and track your usage. From My Account you can also check your connection and test your line for any issues in the Service Centre.

Hi @Anonymous 


If your email address is also the email address you receive your billing notifications to and is therefore the MyAccount login email address then the password is synchronised and is the same for the email address and MyAccount.

When you change the email password via MyAccount you'll see a yellow banner notification to remind you that the password you use to access MyAccount will also change.
