Pipex email migration

Since last Wednesday 1/10/20 I haven't been able to connect to my dsl.pipex mailbox either via an email client or by logging-in directly via my TalkTalk account. I get a wrong password message when trying to login on Webmail and if I then attempt to update the password I get a message saying this cannot be done at the moment, please try again later. I called TalkTalk a couple of days ago and after an hour on the phone going through these steps with the customer support person she asked me to wait 24 hours and try again because there could be a problem with their password change process. No luck todate.

Hi igarratt, I'll have to get this fixed with a fault ticket for now until the wider problems is resolved. I'll send you a personal message once they've been enabled for you.

Please log in to My Account if you need to view or pay your bill, manage boosts and track your usage. From My Account you can also check your connection and test your line for any issues in the Service Centre.

I understand that TalkTalk are aware of an issue impacting some migrated pipex mailboxes and are fixing this as we write.

 

I'll escalate to TalkTalk to ensure your mailbox is taken care of.

 

To link this topic to your TalkTalk service please check your Community Profile includes in Personal Information (Click here):

 

Your name, current TalkTalk landline 'phone and alternate number (mobile preferred). Add full address with postcode (location). Then scroll down to Private notes to add the pipex email address and then save changes.

Hi - thanks very much for taking the time to respond. Yes I did set up password recovery and have used that as you suggest to try to reset the password. That's when I got the message saying we cannot reset your password at this time - please try again later. Which I have now done several times over a period of several days including today.

Hi @igarratt 

 

Have you set up password recovery?  Use the Forgotten password button in the Help page Changing your email password and select the mobile number to receive a password reset code.

 

I assume your mailbox is active on the TalkTalk Mail platform and you'd normally sign in here: https://apps.talktalk.co.uk/appsuite but if not do let me know. The former webmail login has been offline but is now back online.
