Excellent news.

Feels like your Outlook version may not be the newest so keep an eye on the end of life support date issued by Microsoft.

I have had the same settings since the pipex migration and regularly send email to folk on gmail. However I understand that security is always being upgraded

I did not have TLS ticked in outlook which I have now done. I have also changed the names to TalkTalk.net.

I have sent an email to my own gmail account and it got through so maybe those changes have done the trick.

@Gondola  Thanks for your help as usual.

And does Outlook support STARTTLS encryption for outgoing mail via port 587 and is the tick box selected for My outgoing server requires authentication?

I'd normally expect customers to use the talktalk.net mail server host names rather than the legacy ones.

Hi @Gondola I am using windows 10 and Outlook.

I use pop3. Incoming server 995 with SSL

outgoing SMTP 587

BUT... I still use server name pop.dsl.pipex.com and smtp.dsl.pipex.com

I think I never changed to use talktalk.net as I had some sort of problem when the mail upgrade happened. It is now lost in the mist of time oin my random access memory!

Hi cavedweller

Give me a reminder please.

Are you using the recommended email client settings as given in the post Upgrade your legacy mail settings or using TalkTalk Mail webmail?

Webmail won't have a problem passing Gmail's requirements for DMARC but it depends on your outgoing server settings in your email client. What is the email client that you used?
