Retriev messages from imap server

Hi

I am using Thunderbird email. For some reasons my inbox messages get deleted after a month.

two questions?

1- How do I download my old messages from th eimap server?

2- How can I save, automatically, messages to a folder for offline use

In Thunderbird there's a setting for deleting emails after 30 days.

• Click on the 3 horizontal lines top right (often known as the hamburger symbol)
• Click on Folders
• Click on Folder Properties
• Select the Retention Policy Tab
  Untick the delete after 30 days selection
• Select either Use my account settings or
  Don't delete any messages and Click OK

If the emails have already been deleted from the Mail Server then unfortunately they're gone.

You can set up filters to work on specific emails so that when Thunderbird syncs to the mail server it will download new emails and as the filter recognises specific emails will route them to the desired folder. Or you can run filters on demand.
