Unable to send email from Outlook after changing TalkTalk password - SMTP server password prompt

Changed my Email ( password via TalkTalk website and am able to send / receive messages via that site but Outlook will now only receive messages.


Checked SMTP settings against recommended values.All appeared OK but experimented with port settings, etc. Even tried using Outlook on a second laptop.Same issue. An Outlook pop up message asking me to enter the user name and password for the server.


I've seen a number of posts about this and so I've updated the private notes section of my profile in the way that others have been asked to do. Dreading how long it will take to sort this out.


Any suggestions as to where I start?

As if by magic, Outlook is now happy to send messages once again!


Must be a time delay but I'm happy to sleep well  tonight.
