Unable to send email from outlook app

Hi, I've been having issues for quite some time now with sending of email via the outlook app. Both on my android phone and my kindle.

 

Some of my troubleshooting is below

  • Outlook works fine on my laptop
  • Other email clients work fine with POP3 (old tiscali settings as below) but not IMAP
  • Webmail works fine
  • I've updated my password as recommended
  • Online chat some weeks ago said my account was not configured correctly and would need support to sort. Still doesn't work.. Haven't heard anything
  • Tried new IMAP and POP3 settings (mail.talktalk.net, smtp.talktalk.net), no success in setting up account. ERROR The connection to your email server timed out. Please check email settings
  • Tried old imap.tiscali.co.uk and smtp.tiscali.co.uk settings and account will set up but all outgoing mail sits in outbox. Receive works ok

If anyone could help I would appreciate it

Hi @Genduba 

 

You're not alone in experiencing the failure to get the current Outlook app for mobile devices actually working. 

 

I know a previous version did work but I gave up trying. Same result as you. 

 

Just use the native email app. I expect you'll set that up in minutes. 

 

Email settings - IMAP & POP3 use SSL on for both incoming and outgoing server settings.
