Hi @Pash02

To me, the email appears genuine. But it's wise to be cautious especially when asked to take action on your my John Lewis membership.  The email address appears to be personalised to you.

If you're asked to click on any links in the email be extra cautious and check out the link url before clicking.

The my John Lewis team will be happy to answer any questions you have - call 03456 100312.

This isn't uncommon. Please mark those mails as spam and the system will learn not to allow them through.

This is the source and is supposed to be from John Lewis.

I have compared the source of several e mails and it seems real as John lewis is mentioned several times

Thanks for all your help

New TalkTalk Mail:

  • Sign in to Webmail
  • Find the email in the list, and then select its checkbox or open it
  • From the sub-header above the email
select the More actions      blue triple line icon
  • Select View source from the drop-down list
  • This will reveal the full message header text and body of the email

To save the header:

  • Right click on the text and click Select all
  • Right click on the text and select Copy
  • Paste this text into a document file (.doc or .docx file extension)
  • Edit to remove or obscure the first part of your email address if posting anywhere public for analysis
  • Save the file
