Hi ron99

Looking in more detail at the membermojo website you will find that "Email blocks created when an email bounces or generates a complaint can now be removed by administrators from the Failed Email Delivery page.

"When a bounce or complaint is received membermojo will usually create a temporary block for that address to help protect our and your sender reputation with the mail provider.

"The duration of the block is determined by the type of issue. Most bounces will result in a block for a number of days, but a spam complaint or incorrect email address will block for 2 years.

So, you should contact your membermojo administration contact and ask them to investigate any wrong email address (such as <myemail@talktalk.net>) and remove the block on sending. The 2 year suppression has been applied by membermojo not TalkTalk.

Hi ron99, we won't call you on the community it's online support only. I've passed the details to the team to take a look at the filters for you.

No rules defined is good. Your mailbox is not blocking the mail.

The sending domain uses google mail servers. There's no listing on the normal blocklists for the (your corrected) domain name. There's nothing unusual about the originating domain to account for blocked mail. The only other reason for the mail being blocked is that TalkTalk Mail users have marked the mail as spam.

But, the 'blocked until' date is unexpected. Where is this precise information coming from?

Hi ron99

If you're a TalkTalk Consumer home broadband customer and your email address with TalkTalk has not been deleted and is receiving mail messages then sign in to your online mailbox and check there is no filter rule defined.

Prepare for TalkTalk Mail Support by including in your Community Profile, Personal Information (here):

  • Your name, current TalkTalk home 'phone number (unless taking a full fibre service). An alternative (mobile preferred) contact number. Full address with postcode (Location)
  • Scroll down to Private notes to add email address(es), notes and references etc
  • After checking and updating, Save changes

Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail

Enter your email address and password, select Sign in.

Check the  Inbox first and then check  Spam and  Trash folders for mail messages that may have been diverted from the Inbox. Bear in mind the spam and trash folders normally contain mail not older than 30 days.

Mail not reaching the Inbox could mean there's a Filter rule that's blocking mail.

  • To check, select the Main Settings menu icon      triple line icon top right on the blue header
(Mobile browser? use the desktop version)
  • Select Settings from the top of the menu
  • Select the inward facing arrowhead by Mail (or Email) in the left side panel
  • Select Filter Rules
If there's no rule defined, that's perfect
  • To delete a Filter rule including any Auto forward
select the Dustbin icon    to the right of the rule
The icon background will turn red
  • To confirm you really want to delete this Filter rule
    Select the blue Delete button

consumer broadband and all other emails are received without error.

it seems that some talktalk spam/disallow list has been setup that blocks emails from the membermojo.co.uk

account is still active and email has not been changed

Let's suppose your email address was <myemail@talktalk.net>.  That precise email address has been deleted. I'm hypothesising here that if that mail message is genuine then TalkTalk are giving an indication with the two year date that the permanent status of the deletion is at least two years before the deleted mailbox address deleted on 19 Oct 2021 is allowed to be recreated.

What's your take on your email address status and your customer status? Are you a TalkTalk Consumer home broadband or MailPlus customer?

The precise error at the sending end is

myemail@talktalk.net Bounced: 'smtp; 550 5.1.1 cn2rm2Lg26Gd8 Recipient Undeliverable (TT512)', blocked until Thu 19 Oct 2023 12:13

the date sghown is 2 years after the last time an email was successfully accepted from the membermojo.co.uk domain

the domain was mistyped should have been membermojo.co.uk

Hi ron99

I recognise the TT512 error code but I don't recognise the error message

"error TT512 blocked until 19 oct 2023" nor the validity of the quoted domain "membermjo.co.uk" as this doesn't exist.

I don't believe a genuine message originated, as described, from a TalkTalk server.
