unable to send emails on tiscali account

Hi

I have been sending emails from my tiscali account for years, but for some reason the emails have stopped sending in the last few days.

I am on outgoing server: smtp.tiscali.co.uk

I receive a message saying enter username and password. However, I have done this and it still doesn't work.

Is anyone able to help please?

Hi Bowker01 

 

The password change is to make sure any unauthorised use is locked out.

 

The spam protection restriction will normally reset automatically. Tomorrow try the test of sending to your own mailbox.

I think as a precaution you should change your mailbox password to secure your mailbox.

not that many. Perhaps 2 emails each week.

Is there a way of turning this off?

Yes, I can login. However, when i compose an email and try to send it, it won't send. It doesn't appear in the sent items.

So, you can sign in to TalkTalk Mail (webmail) ok, and, if you compose a message and send it to the same address as you're signed in to now does the message appear in the Sent objects folder and then in the Inbox?

 

I'm just seeing if the mailbox is working as expected.

Hi @Bowker01 

 

The first check is to see if you can get access via a browser and the TalkTalk Mail sign in and send mail messages to the same Inbox.
