Automatic compensation and breach of direct debit agreement

Nearly one month delay in connection to JFK and talk talk will not pay the automatic compensation due at £5 per day. Apparently this is because we did not accept the first date they offered for an engineer but asked that they came one day later as we were on holiday on the date offered.

we have now cancelled the service but ofcom says the compensation is due from the date the service could not be connected to the date they offered the engineer. In the meantime we had £20 compensation given for no service over two weekends. They now say that this is our compensation for none connection. They further took another payment which we have requested a refund. They seem to have removed the compensation also!!

my advice....steer clear!
