Since moving over to GFast my upload speed seems to be capped at 29Mbps. Im sure that i used to get around 40+ when on regular fibre?

Is there a cap on the upload speed? I realise the download is capped at 'Fast 150'.

Thanks

I think the fastest FTTC upload is 20 so you wouldn't have got 40.

Hi @internetlover ,

Max speeds possible are :

Faster Fibre 40mbps down / 10mbps up

SuperFast Fibre (i.e. Faster Fibre with Speed Boost) 80mbps down / 20mbps up

Fibre 150 150mbps down / (and based on a bit of googling, I think) 30mbps up

Hi internetlover,

How are you getting on? Are you experiencing any issues with the performance of the connection? What speeds are you currently seeing if you run a wired speed test?

Thanks

Hi Michelle,

My upload speed seems to be capped at 29mbps. Can you confirm if there is a speed cap in place?

Thanks

As others have said 30Mbps is the maximum upload for G.fast 150, so you seem to be doing just fine.

Hi internetlover,

Just to confirm, as previously advised, the max upstream speed on g.fast 150 is 30Mbps so the speed you are getting is pretty good 🙂
