Connection Troubles

I recently upgraded to Faster Fibre and since upgrading, we have been having more problems than before. Firstly, our smart tv would not connect to the wifi where we had no problems before the upgrade. After using a powerline adapter it now stops loading mid film. We also have this problem when watching films/videos on our tablet. Second problem is that our phones will keep disconnecting itself from the wifi or it would connect but say no internet connection. I also have a similar problem on my Macbook Pro, it will connect but says theres no IP address and therefore no internet connection, whereas before there was no problem connecting. Have tried to solve this with talktalk but I see no improvement. Help anyone?

Hi

A fibre upgrade should not affect internal wifi connections to devices as these are local to you.

I would advise a pin reset of the router to return all settings to factory defaults then set this up again.

Wifi congestion is showing around channel 11 on the 2Ghz band so I would recommend setting the channel to Auto for this reason.

Thanks

Karl.
