I assume that Direct Access is a VPN client? If so and you have the DSL-3782 router running firmware V1.08, then this does block VPN traffic. There is now new firmware (V1.10) that fixes this issue.
If you can please confirm my assumptions about Direct & Access & the make/model/firmware of this router, then I can get TalkTalk to upgrade it for you.

I've updated my profile with my Talk Talk phone number. We don't have a house phone in the flat so don't use this number. If you need to talk to me then my mobile number (also on my profile) is best.

You still need to include it in your profile, as that is what identifies your broadband which runs over your line. You can find it out by logging into MyAccount.
