Ordered Faster Fibre but somehow they didn't include the new router. It's on the way. Should my speeds have increased anyway with my old router? I am told that FF is active but my speeds are the same. Has the speed boost been activated?

Ive checked the upgrade order and it doesn't seem to include the boost,  How did you renew the contract?

I clicked the option on your website under my account where I am offered an upgrade to Faster Fibre broadband for £26.00 per month.

It states that this Plan includes:

Just got the new router (wi-fi Hub) and my account updated to faster fibre. But my speeds are only a little faster (34mbps to 44mbps).

My order included the speed boost which is showing in my account but under "Manage Boosts" it only shows the Supersafe boost.

I did leave the router disconnected for 30mins.
I was promised downloads of up to 75.4mbps with typical more than 56.7mbps.

Can you check the speed boost is active?

It can take up to 10 days for DLM to fully optimise the connection.

O/K I've now monitored the speed for 10 days. Very little change. Now 45 down, 18 up. Doesn't look like DLM has helped much. Can you guys take a look and tweak the line or whatever magic you can work. The confirmation email after ordering (dated 7th Aug) the upgrade promised a typical speed range of 56.7 Mb to 73.6 with a Minimum guaranteed speed of 51.6 Mb.

I am using the "new" wi-fi hub and the speed boost. BTW the firmware level on this router is SG4K10002600t.

How many telephone sockets do you have? What other devices do you have connected in addition to your router?

 

Does your master socket have a Test Socket?

I have one master socket to which the router is connected. This is a filtered socket with separate feed to telephone. No other connections. Router has a number of both wired and wireless connections.I don't know if the socket has a test socket but I presume so under the face-plate.

Thanks. Yes the test socket should be under the face plate. Can you connect your router to the test socket with a micro-filter and check to see if there's any speed improvement

O/K. Removed the face-plate. Connected the router via fly lead filter to test socket. No telephone connected. Result 45.8 down, 18.4 up.
