I've recently been offered a Fibre 150 via letter, saying it has now become available at my property. However I only wanted to upgrade to a Fibre 35 (currently using 'fast internet' option) but after talking to a rep, this is not available.
How is this possible? I'm thinking there might be some mis-communication between your future team (Fibre 150) and the rest of TalkTalk.
I still would like to upgrade to the Fibre 35.
Thanks for your post.
If you would like us to look into this, please can you update your community profile to include your home telephone number, we will then be able to have a look at your account.
To do this go into 'my settings' then 'personal information' then add your details.
Future Fibre 150 Data-Only is full fibre to the property (FTTP), so I guess the fibre cables have recently been installed in your area, hence the offer, although do be aware you will lose your phone service if you take up the offer.
Fibre 35 and 65 are fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) with the last part of the connection over the phone line.
If Openreach have put in FTTP then there is no chance they will ever install FTTC cabinets.
FTTP and FTTC are completely different services.
