Apologies for making a new thread if that's not the norm.. didn't want to jump on someone else's toes! Been experiencing random lag/ping spikes whilst online gaming. I also have issues when loading webpages and occasionally have to refresh or reload the page.
I can't seem to find the cause of the issues, any help and guidance will be massively appreciated!
Hi Prewett,
I'm sorry to hear this and I'll take a look now. I've run a test on the line which hasn't detected a fault and the connection stats also look ok. Are you connected wired or wireless when you experience the latency and slow web pages?
If connected wireless, have you tried separating the SSID's?
Split your router's SSID (wireless network name)
Thanks
Hi Michelle,
Thanks for looking into this issue for me, I have the issues whether I'm wired or wireless. I have tried with the SSID's seperate and it made no difference. I will do a Tracert test and provide the results when I get chance later on today if you wouldn't mind looking over them.
Many thanks
Hi @OCE_Michelle,
PFA results from a ping test, tracert and also a speedtest, all were recordered on a wired connection. If you would like another copy done on WIFI please let me know and i will do so! Many thanks.

Hi Prewett,
It's ok, thanks for the additional info 🙂 The results look ok. Did you run the test at the same time that you experienced the slow web pages? Do you have a different router that you can test wiith?
Thanks
Hi, unfortunately not, as it's so sporadic it's difficult to capture it during the time! I tried yesterday but unfortunately by the time my laptop booted it had settled, all I managed were some speed tests on my mobile. I forgot to mention that it's also an issue on Facebook messenger video calls, they will freeze randomly throughout the call. PFA speed tests from mobile yesterday, I am approx 1 metre away from the router on the 5GHz SSID at this point. As you can see jitter is high and speed is slow.
Hi Prewett,
Ok, would you like us to send a replacement router for testing purposes to rule this out?
Thanks
Hi Prewett
The replacement router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.
Let us know how the connection compares with this router.
Thanks
Debbie
Hi @OCE_Debbie thanks for this, I will update as soon as is practicable! Many thanks.
Router received today and seems to have solved the issues so far, will give it a few days to settle in and update if there are any issues. On a seperate note I posted a few days ago regarding outstanding topcashback and when I will receive it, any update? Many thanks!
Hi still having issues with the internet loading pages and also on facetime/Facebook video call. Lag spikes are very intermittently happening which is fine for the most part.
Ah hopefully that fixes the issue for you, if it does could you let me know please? Getting a bit like getting blood from a stone on this forum 🙄 I get that they are busy but my last message was over a week ago.
Hi Prewett, you need to post this on the broadband forums. This section is for billing and account issues.
