I'm having an issue as I've got not Internet connection at the moment.
Mt go live date was the 25/06/2020. I received an email from Talktalk saying that my line had gone live, but after returning from work I found the talktalk router still flashing an orange/red light.
I left it overnight, and still saw the flashing light in the morning.
After returning from work on Friday to it still not connected I rang talktalk.
We went through all the tests, master socket, test socket, reset router, still to no avail. I then asked if I should try with my own router, which is a Netgear D7000v2, which he suggested I do.
I went through the onboard wizard and it said that it could not detect the broadband/dsl line connected.
The representative then requested an engineer, to which they responded that I will need to wait for a replacement router before they send an engineer out, which I think is wasting time as I have already tested the line with another router which is compatible with Talktalk fibre.
Is anyone able to help and get an engineer out as I don't believe ve a new router is going to fix this issue..
I'm really sorry to hear this.
I've completed a radius re sync, please can you power down your router for 30 minutes and then let me know if you are able to connect once the router has been switched back on?
The next step following this will be to arrange an Openreach engineer visit.
I have powered down the router, and powered it on after 30 mins, however it is still not connecting (still a slow blinking orange/red light).
I have also tried using my Netgear router and it is still unable to identify that the dsl/broadband cable is plugged in.
Is is possible to get an openreach engineer out? And when would that be?
