Hi Gareth1986,

I've run a test on the line which hasn't detected a fault and the sync speed looks good. Just to confirm, are you running the speed tests wired or wireless? Could you try switching the router off for a full 30 minutes and then run another speed test to see if their is any improvement in throughput speed.

Thanks

in the router it ssys im getting 80/20. Is this what i should be getting or what i am getting? Are my upload attenuation and power levels ok? They look out of whack. Why would it be negative 10?

Hi Gareth1986,

This is the sync speed, the throughput speeds are usually around 80% of the sync speed. Could you run a speed test using the TalkTalk Speed Tester so we can see how the speeds compare in relation to the sync speed?

Thanks

Thank you, I get that. But are they within range? On the upload?Screenshot_20190528-130049.png

Do I ignore the message (your connection could be improved)?

The power level on the upstream is all I'm concerned about. Thank you.

I'm not sure if this is a foreign help place but I seem to be getting nowhere. The power level on the up stream is minus 10, negative 10. Less than zero. -10. This suggests my upstream power level is well below what it should be ?

Hi Gareth,

I'm sorry for the delay. The speed test results look good based upon the sync speed. Is everything ok with the overall performance of the connection? I wouldn't worry too much about the router stats if your connection is working fine.

Thanks

The upload stats are way off. You know they are. Why are you doing nothing to resolve it? When I shoot people in online games nothing happens. They don't die, I know it's TALKTALK because I never had this happen on virgin. I check my line stats and the upload stats stuck out Like a sore thumb. But you say if your getting your speed don't wort about it. Well I am concerned, my car will do the 150mph on the clock but if any other thing is wrong with my car...dont worry about it? I'm still in the 30day cooling off period and are dissatisfied already. Gaming is not possible because nothing registers. Gaming is about upload and ping times. I cannot play on this. Please resolve or I will simply leave and go with BT. Gareth

Hi Gareth,

If the performance is affected then we can look into this further. Is it only gaming which is affected? Does it affect wired and wireless?

Could you run a wired ping and trace route when you next experience this issue and post the results into the thread.

Run a Ping or Traceroute

Thanks

I'm doing the tracert wired so I'll take a picture with my phone of the results on my laptop. Thank you for the help

It times out on the second hop everytime. This is resulting in games being slow/sluggish and when I shoot people nothing happening. I still have time to leave without paying anything. If it's not resolved by my cooling off period I'll have to leave. I can't be tied into this for 18 months
