I changed to fibre in january and the instructions said don't turn off the router. About three times a day (usually after I have not used the internet for a couple of hours) I have no connection. The router light shows as ON, but the only way to get the internet is to switch the router off, and then back on. After a couple of minutes I am connected. So frustrating that I have to do this so often. Is the router faulty?

The main desktop is wired to the router. Our phones and smart tv are wireless and obviously when the router is 'off' nothing can connect. regards bob.
