Hi,
The engineer managed to reset the line And my speed has increased to its normal capacity.
As I am using a Draytek Vigor 130 modem, he suggest that the SNR should be set to 9.
Is this something you can do?
Hi fonzig
Thanks for keeping us updated.
We are unable to set the SNR. DLM monitors the connection and manages the line profile.
Thanks
Debbie
Hi,
Not sure if I should start a new thread or carry on with this.
My speeds have dropped to 25mbps again.
Seems to have happened after quite a bad power it where power went on and off about 10 times in 15 minutes.
This was end of September. Once it was sorted, I hoped DLM would sort it out but the speed just keeps dropping.
It had been fine since openreach reset the line but I think the power it has affected it.
Hi fonzig,
Your current sync speed is 70.4Mbps. If you're throughput speeds are still low can try switching your router off for 30 minutes, then switch back on and retest
Thanks

Hi,
Switched my router off for an hour but speed is still only half what it should be:
Hi fonzig,
Just to confirm, was this also a wired or wireless speed test?
Thanks
Hi fonzig,
Thanks. The sync speed and the profile both look ok. Do you receive the same speeds if you run the speed test on a different device? When you ran the test wired were there any other applications running at the same time or other devices connected?
Thanks
So this is from my PC, nothing else running in the background:
And this one is wireless, from my phone:
Hi fonzig,
Thanks. Could you run a wired ping and trace route please and post the results into the thread.
Thanks
Hi fonzig,
Thanks for running this, the results look fine. Do you still have the alternative router?
Thanks
Yes, i will swap it over. I will turn the router off for 30 minutes and then turn on the other.
Manged to find the problem. Nothing to do with the router.
After swapping the router and and plugging it straight into my laptop, speeds were as expected.
Plugged back into my Unifi network, speed restricted again.
Then I remembered that I was testing a new network config. Went back through all the steps that i did, and found i'd left Smart Queues (WAN traffic shapping) enabled at 45mbps.
What an idiot!!
Thanks for all your help!!
My own stupid fault of trying a different
