Hello!
I've been trying to set up an IP camera using port forwarding and DYNDNS through Talktalk HG633 modem router.
The problem is when I try to attach to the HG633 router web interface using its external IP address I get a certificate error :
"This Site Is Not Secure - Certificate Error"
I then have to manually click through to make it proceed but this effectively stops any attempt at port forwarding. This works fine on another router I have tried. Any idea if this can be fixed by Firmware Update or any another route?
This is down to how strict your browser is at dealing with HTTP, all TalkTalk routers use this rather than HTTPS. I do agree is this day & age they should use HTTPS, but they don't.

Thanks Keith 🙂
Yes I initially thought this was due to Chrome browser changing to HTTPS but I tried this with a Lynksys x6200 yesterday and didnt get the certificate error using the same browser on HTTP. It worked fine with the IP camera port forward too.
I can only deduce the HG633 is at fault.
Is there a firmware upgrade available? Here is my current firmware version...
OK, Cheers Keith.
Would it be possible to get a Sagem router from Talktalk?
The router is made by Sagemcom and called the FAST 5364.
Not unless you pay for it. I can manage & setup port forwarding without any issue using Chrome in Windows 10, there is nothing wrong with the router, as I said they all work http only, not https.

I know what you are saying but this works fine on a different router.
I'd be happy to pay for a Sagemcom upgrade. How would I contact a Talktalk member to organise that?
It still only works via http as all other TT router's.
