posted on Saturday about intermittent sync error and Divsec indicated it had been flagged for assistance.. but not heard any more.
Current position is DSL is up.... but only for 5 minutes. Line quality on router says 22/5... on Saturday it was 70/20.
while Openreach are ‘exploring’ an earth fault issue we are not going to be a priority as when they left we had a phone line, albeit it crackly, and very good and stable broadband. Phone still works Ok.
have turned router off for 30 minutes plus, but no difference. Anything else I can do to better identify what has changed over Xmas?
Your post is in our que to be picked up. If there is an issue with the line itself and this is waiting on BT to repair, this will impact the broadband services also as they share part of the line.

Thanks... just could not understand why there is suddenly a problem with the broadband and the phone line, if anything, is a little less noisy than it has been. Just wanted to check if there were any other tests I should run at this end to exclude other problems that might have arisen?
no doubt you can see from the log the number of drop outs?
BT Openreach gave no indication of when they would return.... they didn’t see it as urgent at the time as we still had a working phone and broadband.
