Using Openreach modem / authenticating with own router

Hi,

Is it possible to use my current Draytek 2760 VDSL router with the Openreach modem? I understand my Draytek modem code is not compatible with VDSL2 (and therefore I need the Openreach modem), but my question is can I just authenticate with the WAN using this instead of the supplied Sagemcom fast 5364 router. Reason being is I'll lose a lot of functionality otherwise.

If so, could  you please provide me the username and password.

Thanks in advance,
Carl.

Hi Debbie. Is this definitely the case for the g.fast Fibre 150 product too?

Hi,

The settings to set up a Non TalkTalk router on fibre are as follows,

  • Transfer Mode / Loop Encaps is PTM.
  • The VLAN ID required is 101.
  • The Priority should be 0 (although any will work).
  • Authentication is DHCP / IPoE (it does not need a login / username / PPP)

Thanks
