WIFI modem

Hello,

 

Quick question, Do you get the free upgraded WIFI modem when you upgrade to superfast fibre ?

 

Talk talk want to charge me for a new modem, as im using a non TalkTalk one at moment, and having speed issues.

 

Is it possible to reset my profile at the exchange ?

Hi

 

If an existing customer already has one of the compatible fibre super routers such as the HG633 then a new router is not offered when upgrading.  If the customer does not have a fibre compatible router then a WiFi hub would be offered.

 

I've had a look at your connection, and Sync speed is showing as 67mb.

 

What speeds are you seeing when downloading over a wired connection ?

 

Do you have any issues with home phone, and noise or crackles on the line.

I’m getting about 50 to 55 mb download. 

 

No no noise or cracks on landline 

 

new master socket and wiring fitted last last week as having lots of drop outs and disconnecting etc. 

 

Are you you able to reset the exchange to optimise my new master socket and wiring

Hi

 

As you are on fibre, we have n access to reset DLM at the exchange as this is automatically controlled by the BT systems.

 

I am picking up a loop fault on the voice tests.  Do you have a test socket ?

 

If you do, can you connect the equipment into the test socket directly and I can then retest to see if the loop is still present.

That’s is done. 

 

Only phone one connected to master socket. 

 

No router connected

Tests all done, you can pop all equipment back on.

 

Line tests are no longer showing a loop fault, so that rules out an equipment fault, but Fibre tests are picking up a copper joint fault on the line so this does need to be raised for an Openreach engineer.

 

I'll drop you a PM with the info required.

OPENREACH coming tomorrow at 13:00.

 

I have arranged time off work.

 

Talktalk router arrived this afternoon.

 

Are the openreach engineers aware of the copper fault you discovered while testing?

The engineer was around and had problems pinpointing the issue, changed master socket as thought it might be that.

 

Again today we are having problems maintaining a connection?

Yes been having trouble all week. 

 

Need to arrange openreach engineers again.
