WiFi Hub

Hi, I renewed my contract yesterday and have gone from faster fibre to fibre35. I have been told that I will be sent a new WiFi Hub Black. Only went onto fibre 2 years ago and had the WiFi Hub then. Can anyone tell me if this new hub is better than my current one please ?

Speeds look very much the same between faster fibre and fibre35

Thanks

Fibre 35 is just the new name for Faster Fibre !

Fibre 35 is the marketing name.

They are both the basic fibre with theoretical maximums of 40 down 10 up, your estimated speeds and minimum guaranteed speed will be advised to you.

As for the HUBs, there are two models, one from Sagemcom and one from Huawei.

The features are mostly the same, however a few people have had issues with the "WiFi optimisation" system on the Sagemcom which automatically selects what it thinks are the best channels.

This feature can be disabled by posting a request here in the forum.

Hi Towlers

Both routers are our WIFI Hubs, they are just different makes and models.

If your current router is working fine then please keep using this one.

Thanks

Thanks Debbie. I’ve actually changed them over now and the new one appears to be working ok, although it’s only been 1 day. Do I keep the old one “just in case” ?
