Wifi channel optimisation

I live in an area of tenements with highly congested wifi, and changed the channel on my router based on available channels so as to avoid interferance as I have with previous router models. I was confused to find it repeatedly reverting to the previous settings of highly congested channels.

I have since learned of the optimisation service to the Sagemcom routers, and upon checking the traffic logs noticed it regularly accessing my router. I have also learned that this service can be disabled.

I would be grateful if you could disable wifi optimisation on my line please as it provides no benefit with respect to wifi channels.

Can you please add your home phone number or Account number to your Community Profile so I can locate your details.

 

If unsure of your phone number, simply dial 17070 from your land line phone and this will confirm the number for you.

I just had a long text chat with someone on TalkTalk support who claimed the router Wifi optimisation could not be switched off.  It is very frustrating.

 

Apologies for jumping in on the OP's request but could you please turn it off for my router too?  Thanks.
