hi there. we're currently on "faster fibre" and we have an openreach modem installed by talktalk and a d-link dir880-l, which i purchased and set up myself. i've recently upgraded our package to "fibre 150" and we've received the new router. the engineer isn't scheduled to call to do the installation until april 7th and we go live with the new fibre on the 8th, but i was wondering if i could hook up the new router now as we seem to be having some problems with our old one. i would need to change the ssid and password to match our existing network. will it work ok with our existing modem and package and will i get in trouble with the engineer?

many thanks!

Hi simeon,

If you currently have standard fibre at the moment then the wifi hub would replace both the modem and current router. Fibre 150 connection do require a modem and router to be connected. Have you been advised that a home visit is not required to set this up?

Thanks
