10mb drop in speed

Always been getting a stable up 30mb down 8. But for the last few weeks I'm getting around 18-20mb down and 5 meg up. Nothing has changed in my connection but speeds have dropped considerably. Could you possibly optimise my connection even if the router is off and check if any issues with my line

Morning,

Thanks for confirming. Do you have an alternative router that you can test with? If not then I think we should send a replacement router for testing purposes? We would also send a routers returns bag so that one of the routers can be returned.

Thanks

@nolimitzz  as above, what are the noise margins ?

Is there any noise on the phone line ?

There are two versions of HG: 633 and 635

Hi my sync speed has dropped from a stable 32 down 9 up to 23 down 5 up.  Using a HG router it's powered on just the speeds dropped. Can you push it back up to 30+

Hello,

I've run a test on the line which hasn't detected a fault. Is the router currently switched off? Which router are you currently using? (make and model)

Thanks

@nolimitzz  TT cannot reset anything on fibre services.

You asked for a reset "even if the router is off" however repeatedly turning it on and off can result in the DLM system reducing speeds as it can see this as instability.

You should check for noise on the phone service and post the upstream and downstream noise margins from the router dashboard, these should both be around 6 dB

Are the speeds you are quoting the actual sync speeds or the results of speed tests ?
