Can an old router handle Fibre 150 ethernet-only?

Will an old TT/Sky router with a WAN ethernet port be powerful enough to NAT 150 Gb/s from the ONT to gigabit ethernet? I'll turn its Wifi off and use another AP that feeds off it.

I'm assuming that there's nothing special the Eero6 does RE authentication, just standard DHCP?

Thanks. I'll give it a test then!

As there's cat6 everywhere already I think would prefer to have the FTTP come in at the front of the house and place the Eero6 centrally just for Wifi.

I assume that if I plugged a gigabit switch/hub (non-router) directly into the ONT and then fed multiple devices off that there would be utter chaos as all LAN devices swamp BT/TT with DHCP requests and you wouldn't know which device to allocate the IP to?

Hi

Depends on the model, and bear in mind that a lot of earlier models only had 100mb ethernet ports so speeds could be limited.

Thanks

Karl.
