Confused about fibre connection

Hi confused how this is actually connected. Upgraded my existing talk talk package to the new fibre 500 deal. The engineer installed the socket into

my home but he connected it up

to my old talk talk router. I got the new eero 6 pro router, does this just connect directly to the new socket the engineer installed or does that eero pro 6 have to be connected to my old talk talk router?

No, it's just a router, like the Eero.

All I did was take the network cable coming from the box on the wall out from the WAN socket on the TT hub and put it into the WAN socket on the Nest Wi-fi. All worked straightaway so might be worth trying the same with the Eero.

Is that Google nest a modem as well though? I don’t think the Eeros are modems, just routers.

Had mine installed like that yesterday. Once they'd gone, I took out the TT hub, connected my Google Nest Wi-fi directly to wall and all worked fine. Would assume it's the same for the Eero too, just plug it into the WAN socket and away you go.
