DNS issues with talktalk router

I keep having issues with my router where DNS stops working and the only way to resolve is to reboot the router or to manually enter DNS server on the device. I have tried manually changing the DNS server on the router and this worked for a while

 

But now has got to the point where the router  will not give DNS at all. I have tried changing the DNS server on the router and a factory reset. But the only way now to use the internet is to manually enter DNS server on each device.

Router arrived today . All plugged in and seems stable so far.

Hi andy,

 

Thanks for confirming. We do have new firmware coming for the Sagemcom router which should resolve the DNS issue, however I don't have an exact date (it should be sometime this month) Would you like us to send a Huawei Wifi Hub instead and returns bag for the Sagemcom router?

I have a TalkTalk wifi hub but have had to remove it as its just not working and I have work to do.

so have plugged my old router from SKY in and its working fine.

 

I dont know the model number but its manafactured by SAGECOM maybe FAST 5364-3 T8

I'm sorry to hear this. I can't see which router is connected at the moment. Please can you confirm which router you're using? (make and model)
